MENS SENIOR WATER POLO, MARLINS V CRAWLEY 21ST MAY 2017
MARLINS : 7 CRAWLEY : 20
Crawley started their Sussex League fixtures , with an emphatic away win against Burgess Hill Marlins. The first quarter witnessed a Crawley advantage of 5 goals to 2, which after a casual start on Crawley’s behalf, suddenly raced into a 10 – 3 lead by the second, showing an overwhelming control of this game, going into the the third quarter leading 16 – 6.The Marlins couldn’t control this very dominant Crawley Team, mostly due to their inexperienced and young side. The final quarter saw Crawley win by 20 – 7 goals, seven of these goals being scored by Chris Cook who expressed his ability scoring with ease and also creating good chances for other Crawley Team Players. I suppose in truth this game was very good experience for the Marlins, which also saw several Crawley younger players getting plenty of game time, in particular Elliot Hurst who grew with confidence having scored two fine goals himself as well, and Crawley playing well together as a unit. Good goals were scored by Chris Cook, James and Matt O’Dell, Elliot Hurst, Bence M, Stefan Alin Berechet, Tim Mc Carthy, and Richard Woodman.
