Swim England Data Protection Notice

Dated: 26 July 2018

A message from Swim England:

Since GDPR came into force and Swim England published their updated privacy policy we have been working to ensure that our systems and processes are compliant.  Part of this process it to ensure that the information that is collected from our members with regard to their data protection choices are correct and only collected directly from our members.

The OMS new member form has now been updated, we no longer require clubs to complete their member’s data choices, ethnicity or disability.

Club should now be providing new members with a copy of our data protection notice or a link to view this online, so that they are aware of how Swim England processes their data. If you are using the Member Invite functionality a copy of the policy will be available when the member completes their data.

As a Special Category of Personal Data we now have to obtain explicit consent from the member to process and store information on ethnicity and disability under GDPR.

Members can now access and amend their information and data choices via their individual OMS login including what information is shown on our websites.  Details of how they access this is sent to them via their Swim England Welcome email.
