As a club we are always striving to keep fees down and with the ever increasing running costs we are always looking for ways to raise funds to meet these.
Easy Fundraising is a free and easy way to help by shopping on line, at no extra cost to you and is endorsed by the ASA and with retailers such as Amazon, Argos, John Lewis, Debenhams, Asda and Ebay (to name just a few) participating.
As we go in to the Christmas shopping season, now would be an ideal time to start raising funds to support our Club.

Zoe has been a member of Crawley Swimming Club (CSC) for many years and has recently qualified to get to the Cerebral Palsy World Games swimming in the 50m 100m and 400m free & 100m breaststroke. We as a club (CSC) have tried to support her as much as we can, enabling training, training support and advise for her.
We now want to help her actually get there.
Her transport, accomodation, spotter and daily living expences plus kit while she is at the Games will be costly and thats what we are aiming to cover for her with the help from Crowfunding.
We estimate costs could be up to £1,500.00 for her.
Please help us get Zoe to the Cerebral Palsy World Games - see http://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/zoe-cain
Dear Club Chairs
At every event delivered by Sussex County ASA we need the help of Non Tech Volunteers (the people in the blue t shirts) to make sure it runs as smoothly as possible and that your swimmers have the best possible experience. The jobs we ask these people to help us with include distributing results, tech support, competitor stewards and refreshments. They can claim travel expenses in line with our expenses policy and if they are working two sessions we will provide lunch.
You will be aware that the insurance cover we all have through Swim England stipulates that anyone working at an event in any capacity is only covered if they are members of an affiliated club. This of course restricts who we are able to work with at our events and because the County does not have any members of our own we are entirely reliant on clubs to recruit these Non Tech Volunteers for us.
They can be anyone who is a member of your club, they do not have to be parents but, because of the nature of some of the jobs, they should be over 18years of age.
I would be grateful if you could distribute the attached form to any club member who may be able to assist us deliver the Winter Competition at K2 over the weekend of 21 / 22 October. We will then, with their permission. add them to our database.
I am very grateful for your support.
Chair, Sussex County ASA
Please complete the form here and send to Sussex County
We are running short of parents, carers, siblings, grandparents to be timekeepers at our time trials and club champs. Many of our timekeepers are stepping out of swimming because their 'little swimmers' are no longer little and have gone off to university.
Please train as a time-keeper so that we can keep supporting our children with swimming licensed times - come and join the rest of us 'white shirts' poolside - it's cooler down there, the time passes more quickly, and we even have fun!
There is a time-keeper's course in a couple of weeks - details below:
Date: Friday 20th October
Time: 7pm - 8:30pm
Location: King's Centre, East Grinstead
Cost: covered by the club
Minimum age: 14
We can also arrange a taster session for you at this Friday's time trials if you think you might be interested but aren't quite sure.
Please let Jemma know if you are interested in either the taster or the course by emailing: firstname.lastname@example.org

Crawley SC relies on volunteers to keep this club running smoothly. This enables the Club to keep its fees as low as possible which directly impacts each and every member that swims at Crawley SC. Each and every one of your children benefit from the time and input from those volunteers.
Can we please ask that every family looks at how just one member can contribute some time towards the Club. There are so many different roles and each volunteer can chose where they are best suited. This only involves a little bit of time for each person if we have sufficient volunteers.
On Friday, our Time Trials was in jeopardy as we found ourselves in a position where the equipment we hired form K2 was not working to a standard that we needed so we became reliant on manual timing which requires trained timekeepers and it was incredibly difficult to find parents with this, easy to gain, qualification. With Club Championships coming up in June, we need more volunteers please. The volunteer roles within the club are filled by the same faces each and every time and those same people actually fulfil more than one role and many of those fabulous individuals are moving on to pastures new with children soon attending University.
Please come forward and do something great for your children who have so much to gain form a great Club like Crawley SC.
Please contact me directly and we can discuss what role is best suited for you. (roles include: Drinks and Sweets Monitor, Time Keeper, Team Manager, Officials, Committee Member, Electronics Team, Coaching, Teaching, Poolside Marshalls, Fundraising, Welfare, Website, Team App, Marketing, Sponsorship, Open Meets Organiser, Data Input for Meets, Announcing ……..and so many more)
Thank you for your time. I look forward to hearing from some new people.
Please see poster HERE from Sussex County which advertises some great courses to assist volunteers and clubs.
Chair, Crawley SC
